In 2015, the Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technologies was founded in Armenia by Unicomp, Viva-MTS, Synopsis Armenia, IntellCors and a number of other large ICT companies. The Union is the only one in Armenia with the ICT-oriented educational institutions of RA as members of the Union, along with successful startups. At present UEICT has about 50 members. UEICT offers three distinct types of membership: Full Member, Startup, and Educational Institution. 
Our aim is to promote collaboration, knowledge exchange, and growth within the ICT sector.

Since 2019, UEICT has been organizing the annual Silicon Mountains International Tech Summit. This Summit is dedicated to the application of digital transformations and smart solutions in various sectors of the economy. The Summit serves as a platform for experts from Armenia and across the globe to share insights, ideas, and visions regarding to tech world. We aim to position our country in the world as a technologically advanced country with highly qualified specialists offering engineering solutions.

UEICT also carries out a diverse range of projects that contribute to societal progress and empowerment. Here are presented two projects successfully implemented by the Union:
"Labour Action: Collaborative Effort for Accountable and Inclusive Employment" is implemented by the UEICT with the support of the European Union. The project aims to promote the protection of labour rights in Armenia, paying special attention to youth and vulnerable groups.
"Skill Boost: Tech Upskilling Initiative" project has been implemented in the frames of the RECONOMY regional inclusive and green economic development project funded by the Swedish International Cooperation Development Agency (Sida), implemented by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in partnership with UEICT and other organizations in the Eastern Partnership and the Western Balkan countries. 
As a result of the research conducted within this framework, the Upstart Educational Platform was developed specifically for SME representatives, providing them with valuable resources to effectively utilize digital solutions in their businesses.
